Electronic Resources: Home

Quick fixes for when something isn't working; direct journal links; information on costs.

Access from Off Campus

Off campus and need to use the e-resources? Use the library's links. Alternatively, log into CC's VMWare.

Library links can be located in Databases A-Z, Tiger, or specific LibGuides. You will be asked to authenticate through the library's server. Use your long Gold Card ID number with ALL digits (including all zeroes).

If you've had your Gold Card replaced, the long ID number probably changed. Please contact the Circulation Desk to update your ID number in the library's system:

(719) 389-6184

What are Electronic Resources?

"Electronic resource" is the general term to describe library-related products that are in electronic format, such as:

  • Databases
  • Online reference books
  • Electronic journals
  • Electronic books
  • Digitized works

Typically these are accessed over the Internet.  If a subscription is required for access, part or all of the electronic resource will not be available unless you are on a CC computer, you have a CC login, or have been set up with a special login & password.

These examples are NOT electronic resources:

  • Print newspaper
  • Paper magazine or journal
  • Books you can physically hold (without printing it out first)
