How to Determine if an Article is Empirical

Check for these components:

  • Peer-reviewed
  • Charts, graphs, tables, and/or statistical analyses
  • More than 5 pages
  • Sections with names like: Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Method, Data, Analysis, Results, Discussion, References
