Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC)
The Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC), is used by academics, writers, publishers, and others to categorize items in the mathematical sciences literature. The current version, MSC2010, consists of 63 areas classified with two digits refined into over 5000 three- and five-digit classifications.
The next version of the MSC is being actively developed and is scheduled for release in 2020

Main Mathematics Databases
The mathematics section in the repository of electronic preprints (e-prints) hosted at Cornell University.
Coverage: early 1800s - current. Reviews, abstracts and bibliographic information for much of the mathematical sciences literature. Originally based on Mathematical Reviews (MR).
Coverage: varies. Full-text articles online from Elsevier and Academic Press journals. Summary information about articles from all other Elsevier titles and some other publishers. Coverage includes all science areas and many social sciences and humanities areas.
