ED 211: Framework for U.S. Education: Books

Primary Sources for ED 211 assignment

Primary Sources Reprinted in Books

You can find many primary sources in books - collected letters, speeches, diaries and other works can all be found in printed publications. Transcriptions from handwriting and close translations from other languages are acceptable.

Find Books in the Library Catalog

Use our online catalog to find materials available through the library. Both print and electronic books are available, along with many other items both physical and digital.

To find primary sources associated with a historical figure, try searching that figure as an author. The correct format for name searches is last name, first name. For example, to find primary sources associated with Abraham Lincoln, choose the "Search by Author option" and search Lincoln, Abraham.
