Film Studies Research

Film Studies is an exciting, interdisciplinary field, with research tools often spanning many disciplines. Film research can be approached from numerous viewpoints and disciplines, depending on the lens through which you have chosen to look.  Research, therefore, may need to be undertaken in a wide variety of disciplines, such as History, Sociology, Political Science or Anthropology.

This guide will give you tips on finding and using academic research tools.  Use the yellow tabs at the top of this guide to help you navigate.

We want you to succeed!  Feel free to contact me personally, or sit down and have a one-on-one talk with the librarian at the Reference Desk (located in the library lobby).

We want to help!
