AH113 Introduction to East Asian Art: Finding Books

Use Tiger to find books & more at Colorado College

Search Tiger by

Tiger, the CC library catalog, will tell you what we own (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) or subscribe to (journals, databases, etc.) at Colorado College. It will not help you find articles in journals.

Search Tips

  • Start with broad keyword searches. chinese art is probably too broad, and monumental landscape movement in northern song painting is certainly too specific. Try song painting or chinese landscape painting and see what you get.
  • Once you have found a record in Tiger for a book that looks useful, click on the title to see the full information about the book. Scroll down to look at the subject headings. So a book that we found by searching song painting will have a subject heading of Painting, Chinese -- Song-Yuan Dynasties, 960-1368. You can click that subject heading and see all the books we have that fall under that subject.

Use Prospector to request books & more from across Colorado

If you can't find a book, DVD, CD, or other item you need in Tiger, you can use Prospector to search libraries across Colorado and then request that they be sent to the Tutt Library circulation desk for you to check out here.

You won't have time to use Prospector for your short paper, but it could be a great service for your final paper.
