Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg provides access to electronic texts of many works that are in the public domain.  You may find the Suffrage Bookshelf of interest, as it includes a number of books from the 19th century, including some primary sources.  For example, have a look at Helen Kendrick Johnson's book: Woman and the Republic — a Survey of the Woman-Suffrage Movement in the United States and a Discussion of the Claims and Arguments of Its Foremost Advocates BookIcon.png
