Getting started / Finding books
In many cases, a good place to start your research is with the Book Studies reference sources in the tab above.
In Tutt Library, most book studies books are shelved in the Z section (books, writing, book industries and trade, libraries, bibliography) on the Garden Level. There you'll find books such as An Introduction to Book History (Z4 .F49 2005) and The Cambridge Companion to the History of the Book (Z4 .C26 2015).
To find books, articles, and other resources, use OneSearch. Try search terms like books history, books reading, artists' books, book collecting.
The Books and Media / Library Catalog search (below) will limit your search to books (including e-books) and other media such as DVDs, CDs, and microform. It will not find articles in journals. When you go the shelf, try browsing. Look at the books sitting near the one you’re after. Serendipity can be a great way to find things.
Prospector will help you find items in other Colorado libraries and request them to be sent to Tutt Library.
WorldCat will help you find books in libraries all over the world and request them via interlibrary loan.

In 2010, the library received a large gift of books-about-books from Calvin and Patricia Otto. A keyword search on their names may be fruitful.
